CAMP OMEGA - Woodridge
I attended Camp Omega from 1969 - 1975.  My name is Marty Berman.  Everyone called me Marty B.  I was Mr. Omega one year!  My brother is Evan Berman and he attended Camp Omega from it's opening year till a bunch of years later!  Where are all our Omega brothers and sisters?  We seemed to have vanished.  And yet I know we each have the very greatest of memories.  I am glad I was surrounded by such creative people during the years I spent there. If any one has my green shorts, could they return them to me.  My name tag is inside them. mysaltandpepper@aol.com

EMPIRE STATE MUSIC CAMP - Hurleyville
If you went to ESMC in the 60's I would enjoy hearing from you especially if you have some memories to share. It's only been 40 years...I'm sure I'm not the only one feeling nostalgic about the place. I'd really like to know what became of all the assorted Kramers-Joe, Mark, Janet, Matt-not to mention the other colorful characters I met during the course of my 5 summers in Hurleyville. I think of many of you all too often and would love to hear about your journeys since those unforgettable summers together. I wish you all well and sincere thanks for all the memories I will cherish always! Peace, Bob Stoloff bstoloff@berklee.edu.

CAMP JAGUAR -- Fleischmanns
I am trying to do some research on a camp that I attended in 1966 which I believe was a sham. It now seems almost dreamlike to imagine that my parents put me on a bus from Port Authority and blindly sent me to the Catskills to go to a camp that was void of any resources. There was a pool without water, no activities, no one really in charge. I was the only 12 year old there. I remember hitch-hiking with the other campers to a local swimming hole since we had no place to swim at the camp. Do you have any information on this camp? It probably was only open that one summer and I think the owner took off with everyone's money never to be seen again. Thanks- Wendy Millstein wendymillstein@aol.com.

CAMP MOHAPH - Glen Spey
Camp Mohaph, in Glen Spey, saw its last camper in the summer of 1965, when the camp and the property was sold.  The camp was run by the Baxt family---Mama Baxt, Papa Baxt, and their 4 sons, Hy, Milton, Victor, and Bert.  Hy had 2 children---Jan and Honora, and Bert had 2 daughters, Ilene and Helen.  I was married to Bert, the youngest son. The last remaining son, Milton, died 3 years ago.  Sadly, Jan and Honey both passed away within the past 18 months.  The only Baxts remaining are myself, (Sandy), and my daughters Ilene and Helen. Ilene and Helen were of course very young when we sold the camp---neverthelss, we all  have wonderful memories of the years  spent there, and would love to hear from anyone who would like to share their memories with us. You may contact me at sanbax@comcast.net. Sandy Baxt

CAMP EDGEWOOD
As a small boy I spent the summers of 1943 and 1944 at Camp Edgewood somewhere in the Catskills. Can anyone tell me where it was? It was run by a couple of middle-aged refugees from Germany, Tante Erna and I think Tante Leah, and many of the children, of whom there were about 35, were also refugees. The camp was just a big old white house with a big front porch and a big yard. It was on a country road about (as I remember) a 15-30 minute walk from a village, which was on a lake, and the village's small beach, where we often swam. There was an abandoned railroad near the camp and we often hiked its railless cindered roadbed. Please email me at rprojansky@comcast.net

CAMP STANLEY -- Hurleyville
I attended Camp Stanley in Hurleyville in the summers of 1973 & 1974. At the time the camp was a weightloss camp owned by Gussie Mason and later sold to Dr. Morton Levine of Brooklyn, NY. Those summers at Camp Stanley changed by life, and I was able to go from being an overweight shy girl to a confident slender young lady. I made some friends, but lost contact. I would love to be in touch with some of the girls that went there. DonnaMarie Virgilio Lipstik43@aol.com.

NAPONACH COUNTRY CLUB - Naponach
My father (Chick Rosnick) was the golf pro at Napanoch Country Club from approx 1950-1960. We were poor and because my father had this position, my 2 brothers and I had the benefits of country club golf, swimming, and more. My father passed away this year and I am attempting to find any literature, pictures, articles, maps, or anything else about the resort. It became a "fat" girls resort. I have traveled to Napanoch from the Boston area and have not found anything at all. There was a dam and lake which was 1-3 miles away from the county reservoir. Can you help? CAMP STANLEY -- Hurleyville
I'm trying to find some old camp friends from Camp Stanley. I think that it was located on or near Whittaker Rd. It was in operation from teh late 50s, 60s, and 70s and closed in the early 80s. The camp was formerly known as Butler Lodge. The last thing that I know is that it was owned by a Dr. Morton Levine from Brooklyn, who then sold it to a religious Jewish group back in the 80s. SUMMER CAMPS CROPSEY LEGEND
It seems that every one I know, regardless of which camp they went to, heard one version or another of a Cropsey story. One man wrote on a message board that when he went to camp Orensika Sonikwa in 1972, they "had a framed article hanging up taken from the original newspaper printing of the Cropsey story. Is Cropsey his real name? I don't know but that is the basic true story." Got me wondering if there is any truth to this? Is this a case of a story that just got passed around and versions getting twisted with each telling or what? Cathy Novick Yrunvs2223@aol.com.

CAMP MA-HO-GE -- Silver Lake (White Lake)
I can’t recall the year I attended, but it was memorable. I lived in Brooklyn, and was to leave from Port Authority for the buses to camp. Unfortunately, I was ill and arrived at camp a week late. When I did come I had an Aunt & Uncle that were going to Monticello and they took me to camp in a hired limousine(What a way to go). I was an avid swimmer and loved going out on the lake in a canoe, which I did daily. Color war was especially memorable, as I remember the counselors arrive on horseback with the colors. My most vivid recollection was when our counselor came back to the barracks late at night, I believe 2:00 AM or so, and woke everyone up one by one, whispering "Do you want to go on a raid"? What a foolish question to ask a kid around 11 - 13 years old. So, we all got up, put on our shorts, and went over to the Girls side of the camp. We had pillow fights, and woke everyone up. The next morning after the flag was raised, we were called out and given whacks with a PADDLE with the words prominently displayed "PSYCHOLOGY". I guess the lesson learned was don’t trust your counselor. Although it still hurts, from the whacks, it was well worth the experience. Would love to hear any other campers' experiences and or photos.
